West Ham are reportedly ready to meet the asking price of Nice forward Alassane Plea, beating the likes of Spurs and Newcastle to his signature.
The Northern Echo reports that the Hammers are keen to supply Manuel Pellegrini with a regular source of goals next season as they seek an improvement on their previous Premier League campaign.

West Ham relied heavily on Marko Arnautovic last season, with Javier Hernandez scoring just eight times in the Premier League.
Newcastle have also been linked with a move, with some reports claiming the Magpies have had an opening bid rejected.
The report from the Northern Echo claims Newcastle would have to pay a club-record fee for the player, providing an insight into the money West Ham could have to spend for the £27m-rated striker.
Plea scored 21 times for Nice last season but he, alongside Mario Balotelli are both expected to leave the Ligue 1 outfit over the summer.
