West Ham have reportedly seen their initial bid worth £12m for Craig Dawson turned down by West Brom.
According to claims from the Telegraph, the Hammers have established an interest in signing Dawson as they look to add extra quality to their back-line following the signings of Ryan Fredericks and Issa Diop.
West Ham are understood to have submitted an opening offer to the Baggies but have seen their efforts rebuffed, with the Championship club rejecting a £12m move from the Hammers.

It’s likely that Dawson will be snapped up by a Premier League club this summer, especially given the level of interest from clubs such as West Ham and Burnley.
If West Ham do indeed want to win the race for Dawson, though, they will be forced to pay a premium for the player. It’s claimed in the report from the Telegraph that West Brom will demand a sum of £20m for their versatile defender.
