West Ham have tabled a contract offer to OGC Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, according to claims from Italy.
The Hammers are reportedly keen to recruit the Ivory Coast international this summer as they bid to make significant progress in Manuel Pellegrini’s first season at the club.
It’s believed by Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Nicolo Schira that the Hammers’ negotiations with Nice are progressing well, with a five-year contract offer from the Hammers having already been submitted.

Seri has been a standout performer in the last two seasons at Nice but a number of key players are set to leave the Ligue 1 club this summer.
West Ham appear to be on the lookout for a new central midfielder ahead of next season and the addition of Seri would certainly be a signal of intent, given the other interested parties.
Arsenal are understood to have expressed a strong interest in recruiting the player.
