Toulouse defender Issa Diop is expected to be in London on Monday to undergo his West Ham medical.
Foot Mercato, as cited by Get French Football News claims that the player is due to travel to the capital ahead of a €25 million move.
Despite late interest from Everton, the Hammers have agreed a fee with the French side, with Diop expected to become Manuel Pellegrini’s first major signing since taking over.
Marco Silva was keen to bring the player to Goodison Park, but the new Everton boss appears to have missed out.
The player is expected to put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the London Stadium, according to the French report.
Diop will become the second defensive signing of the summer following Ryan Fredericks’ arrival from Fulham.
Despite Toulouse’s struggles in Ligue 1 last season, Diop caught the eye of several teams and is one of the most highly-rated young defenders in Europe.
