West Ham have reportedly lined up a move for RCD Espanyol goalkeeper Roberto Jimenez this summer.
According to claims from Spanish news outlet AS, the Hammers are keen to add to their goalkeeping options and have identified Jimenez as a potential signing for Manuel Pellegrini.
Jimenez spent the duration of last season on loan at Malaga but could be on the move away from Spain this summer, with West Ham’s interest now noted.
The 32-year-old remains an adept shot stopper but if AS are to be believed, Espanyol are willing to sanction the sale of their goalkeeper for a sum worth as low as £1.5m.

West Ham’s goalkeeping situation remains heavily scrutinised following the expiration of Joe Hart’s loan spell at the club.
The Hammers are out to recruit a new first-choice goalkeeper and could be faced with the prospect of Adrian’s departure this summer, with the Spaniard keen to receive assurances over first-team football at West Ham.
Jimenez made 34 appearances for Malaga last season but the club have declined the option to pursue a permanent deal for the experienced goalkeeper.
