West Ham have received a boost, with recent reports claiming that promising defender Declan Rice has no intention to leave the club.
It was claimed in the week that the youngster had declined West Ham’s opening contract offer, entailing a somewhat underwhelming term of £8,000 per week.
However, the Hammers remain confident that Rice will put pen to paper on a new deal at the club, it seems, and according to a report from Football London, the Republic of Ireland international has no intention to leave just yet.

Rice impressed when called upon last season and established himself as a key member of the West Ham squad.
Manuel Pellegrini is likely to make use of the versatile player in the upcoming season as he prepares to get to know his arsenal of players in pre-season.
Rice came through the West Ham academy and has shown promising signs when he has played, indicating that the Hammers could indeed have an exciting prospect on their hands for seasons to come.
