West Ham’s pursuit of PSG star Javier Pastore appears to have hit a stumbling block.
According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, talks between West Ham and Pastore’s representatives are currently at an impasse, with disagreements over the player’s wage demands prevailing.

Solhekol claims that Pastore is currently earning a huge total of £190,000 per week on his current contract at PSG – significantly more than any player in the West Ham squad at this moment in time.

The Argentina international could be on the move this summer after being frozen out at PSG, but it seems he will be forced to lower his wage demands by a considerable amount.
West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini wants to add quality to the ranks this summer and Pastore is thought to be a genuine target. However, it seems negotiations with the player are at a standstill for now, as the parties attempt to reach a positive conclusion over the player’s wages.
