West Ham are reportedly considering a swoop for Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
According to claims from the Guardian, the Hammers’ plans ahead of next season are well underway and with the club keen to land a new goalkeeper, Johnstone is under consideration.
The shot-stopper spent the duration of last season on loan at Aston Villa as he helped them to a play-off final. Steve Bruce’s men were defeated in the final by Fulham, however, and it is now unlikely that Johnstone will make his stay permanent.

West Ham are now apparently contemplating a move for the goalkeeper, who remains on the books at Old Trafford.
The Hammers are unlikely to pursue a permanent deal for Joe Hart following his unsuccessful loan spell at the club. Meanwhile, Adrian has been linked with a move back to Spain this summer.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise to see Manuel Pellegrini actively searching for a new goalkeeper, with Johnstone the latest name to be linked.
