Ryan Fredericks has agreed a four-year deal to join West Ham this summer, according to the London Evening Standard.
The defender, who played a key role in Fulham’s promotion from the Championship, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Cottagers after failing to agree on new terms.
Both Crystal Palace and West Ham have been touted as possible destinations for the player, but the Hammers have won the race to sign the defender.
The report claims that the defender was keen to be Fulham’s highest paid player, but the Whites were unable to match his demands.
Fredericks is due to become Manuel Pellegrini’s first signing next week following positive talks with the Hammers.
West Ham’s interest in Fredericks dates back to David Moyes’ time in charge of the club.
Moyes personally scouted him on several occasions and was a known admirer of the player.
