West Ham and Napoli are reportedly ready to lock horns over the signing of AC Milan attacker Fabio Borini this summer.
According to an exclusive report from Italian news outlet Calciomercato, the versatile attacker has been lined up by the Hammers as they look to identify targets for the summer transfer window.
It’s claimed that West Ham are currently monitoring Borini’s situation at San Siro, with his long-term future at the club uncertain.

Milan recently signed Borini on a permanent deal following a relatively successful loan spell at the club, but it seems another transfer may not be an unrealistic outcome this summer.
Napoli, though, are presented by Calciomercato as the more attractive proposition for Borini. This is largely down to the strong relationship shared between the player and the new Napoli boss, Carlo Ancelotti.
Borini, who has previous experience of playing for Liverpool and Sunderland in the Premier League, is capable of taking up the role of a striker or as a winger, meaning his versatility would certainly be of help if West Ham are to land him.
