The 64-year-old has signed a three-year deal to take over at the London Stadium after David Moyes was not retained after his stint in charge.
Pellegrini left his position as manager of Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune last weekend amidst talk of West Ham’s interest and after talks with the club’s co-owners, he’s been appointed.

The Chilean, who won the Premier League and two League Cups during his time in charge at Manchester City, will be joined at West Ham by his assistant Ruben Cousillas.
Despite taking a pay cut from the huge salary that he was earning in China, Pellegrini will be the highest paid manager in West Ham’s long history, and he’ll be one of the top earners in terms of Premier League managers too.
West Ham’s intention was always to hire a manager with experience of managing in the Premier League and in Pellegrini, they have someone who meets that criteria.
