West Ham are ready to make a bid for Stoke City’s Joe Allen, according to reports..
Stoke’s relegation to the Championship was confirmed last weekend when they lost 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace, and Allen will likely be keen to stay in the Premier League.
It is believed that both West Ham and Newcastle United are keen on dragging him away from Stoke but the Potters are going to try to persuade the Welsh international to stay in Staffordshire.

Allen is currently 28 years old and will likely be keen to continue playing at the highest level as he can, and West Ham are looking to offer him the chance to do just that.
Stoke want to keep the midfielder to help with a promotion push next season but they may choose to cash in if one of West Ham or Newcaslte make an offer for a player who, quite simply, is too good to be playing in the Championship.
