West Ham succumbed to another disappointing result in the Premier League on Sunday as they were well-beaten by Manchester City.
The newly-crowned champions of the division made the trip down to the London Stadium and were simply too hot for West Ham to handle as they outclassed the Hammers throughout.
Leroy Sane’s deflected effort handed City the lead before Declan Rice was unfortunate to turn into his own net. Just before the half-time mark, Aaron Cresswell pulled a goal back for West Ham with a free-kick.
This halving of the deficit did not deter City, however, as they turned in a classy second-half performance. Goals from Gabriel Jesus and Fernandinho sealed a straightforward, 30th win of the season for Pep Guardiola’s side.
West Ham were rather helpless on the day and saw their defending let them down once again.
Here are our player ratings following the 4-1 defeat against City.
