West Ham attacking midfielder Manuel Lanzini could return to the side this weekend against Chelsea as he works his way back from a knee injury sustained on international duty, according to the Evening Standard.
He missed last weekend’s victory over Southampton after getting injured whilst away with Argentina, with his side now five points away from the bottom three.
Lanzini has returned to training this week as the Hammers get set for the London derby at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.

He is a key member of the side and has performed well this season, but he may struggle to get back into the starting XI given how well David Moyes’ men performed in the game against Southampton.
The playmaker will most likely be limited to a cameo appearance off the bench with Moyes not prepared to take a chance on the player with some more important games to come.
Ahead of the game, Moyes spoke about the situation with the midfielder:
Manu is back running, but he was running last week. He’s got a medial ligament injury which affects his turning and twisting. He’s able to run in straight lines at the moment.
I’m hoping for an update on Saturday to see how he is, so I wouldn’t completely rule him out, but at the moment I’d say he’s a doubt.
