Joao Mario wants to make permanent switch to West Ham

According to Calciomercato, West Ham loanee Joao Mario wants to make a permanent switch to The Hammers from parent club Inter Milan.

When Mario joined, there was great excitement around the London Stadium, as this transfer, although only being a loan, showed ambition which is something that has been lacking with transfer dealings at West Ham recently.

Since his debut in West Ham’s 2-0 loss in the FA Cup against Wigan, Mario has been in great form, linking up very well with Mark Noble in midfield and Javier Hernandez up front, who is finally finding his feet at West Ham.

In a recent interview, the Portuguese international said:

I will try to do my best. It’s important for me to show my quality in a West Ham shirt. I am glad to be here and I will give everything, I can see right away that the game is really fast and physical [in the Premier League].

The intensity of the English game is high and that’s good for me because it will add things to my game that I don’t have yet. I’m happy to be playing at this level and will try to improve myself every time I go onto the pitch.

Although it is early in his West Ham career, many of the Hammers faithful will be delighted if he stayed permanently, after his performances recently.
