Positions West Ham need to strengthen in to move forward

West Ham once again find themselves in a battle to avoid relegation – a situation they thought they had moved themselves away from for good following the impressive 2015/16 campaign but 18 months of poor and lacklustre investment among other contributing factors has seen the Hammers find themselves in the position they are in.

Occupying 12th place and with, generally speaking, a squad on paper better than their surrounding rivals, West Ham should navigate their way to Premier League rivals but the summer represents another opportunity for the club to right the wrongs of the last two seasons, at least in terms of player personnel.

We take a look at a number positions West Ham need to improve on in the immediate future if they are to move to the next level like the club promised they would.
