West Ham were lacklustre as they suffered defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex stadium.

The Irons lacked quality and suffered a defeat to Brighton, bringing them back into the relegation battle.

Glenn Murray opened the scoring for Brighton, putting the Seagulls ahead. Javier Hernandez then equalised for West Ham at the 30 minute mark.

After the break, Jose Izquierdo put in a moment of quality when he curled the ball past Adrian to put the Seagulls back in front. West Ham’s misery was complete when Pascal Gross ended their hopes, and added the third for Brighton.

The result leaves West Ham on 27 points, just 3 clear of relegation and with just one win in their last five games. Brighton remain behind West Ham, but only on goals scored as both teams have the same goal difference.
