West Ham’s recent upturn in form dearly took an unexpected nose dive after League One outfit Shrewsbury Town took the Hammers to an FA Cup third round replay.
In a game that required extra time, David Moyes’ side prevailed after Reece Burke struck his first goal for the club deep into added time.
That result means the Hammers are now six without defeat in all competitions, and have suffered just one defeat in their last eight Premier League games going into tomorrow’s clash with Bournemouth.
Moyes has suffered one major blow this month following the news that Andy Carroll is set for another lengthy spell on the sidelines following an ankle injury which may require surgery.
With less than two weeks of the transfer window remaining, Moyes will surely have to recruit at least one forward to help make up the numbers.
West Ham will be out for revenge against the Cherries tomorrow after they were robbed of all three points at the Vitality Stadium last month after Callum Wilson’s injury-time equaliser was given despite the striker handling the ball into the net from a visibly offside position.
Here is our predicted XI for tomorrow’s game with Bournemouth.
