Crystal Palace have reportedly given West Ham some competition to sign Republic of Ireland international Harry Arter from AFC Bournemouth.
According to the Mirror, David Moyes wants Arter to bring a bit of mobility to his midfield, and former England manager Roy Hodgson wishes to make his Palace team his own after the sacking of Frank de Boer.
Moyes has been keen to sign the midfielder, who signed a four-year contract with the Cherries in June, but Hodgson is also interested in a deal.
Arter, who scored his first goal of the season last weekend in the 4-0 victory over Huddersfield, has been on the south coast since 2010.
He’s been a regular for his club since joining from Woking and is now making an impact for his country too, becoming one of the first names on Martin O’Neill’s teamsheet.

Bournemouth lie 13th in the Premier League table, and Arter has been a mainstay for Eddie Howe’s men in central midfield alongside Andrew Surman or Lewis Cook this season.
