In the 21 months Sam Byram has spent at West Ham since his £4m move from Leeds in January 2016, the former England youth international has yet to be afforded an extended run in the team.
The 24-year-old is firmly entrenched as the club’s number two right-back after the summer signing of Pablo Zabaleta on a free transfer from Manchester City and he’s found game-time limited.
Byram is yet to feature in the Premier League this season and has made just two appearances, both in the Carabao Cup and he;s expected to deputise for Zabaleta again tonight against Tottenham.

Championship high-flyers Sheffield United are eager to take Byram on loan in January until the end of the season to aid in their promotion push.
The Blades, currently third in the Championship, were in to sign Domingos Quina on loan on transfer deadline day before the deal to bring in the West Ham U23s star fell through.
West Ham don’t have much defensive depth as it is and despite his lack of games, it’s unlikely they would sanction a loan exit for Byram.
