Premier League rules could stop West Ham taking Barbosa on loan

West Ham are interested in loaning Inter Milan star Gabriel Barbosa but his lack of game time for the Brazilian could stop this move, according to a report in The Mirror,

Barbosa, aka Gabigol, joined Inter Milan last season for £26m but after a lack of game time at the Italian club, he has been listed for loan.

West Ham are keen on taking the Brazilian but his lack of game time at Inter could stop the transfer as a British work permit would likely be declined.

West Ham are on the hunt for a new striker after Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri’s loans ended after shocking seasons and Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho are still recovering from injuries. Enner Valencia has also left.

Gabigol only made 10 appearances last season with only one start and has only made three international appearances during the last year.

Barbosa is one of the most promising players in Europe and he has a big future ahead of him so a move to a new club which will play him more would be good for him but he may have to move to somewhere other than England due to these work permit issues.
