According to Sky Sports, Stoke winger and West Ham target Marko Arnautovic could be out with a knee injury after being forced off during Stoke’s pre-season game against Neuchatel Xamax.
Arnautovic handed in a transfer request on the same day after Stoke rejected a £15 million bid from West Ham who are heavily interested in the Austrian.
If the injury is a serious one then West Ham could be warned off of signing Arnautovic as they look for a goalscorer who isn’t injury prone as they have Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho, who have both struggled with long-term injuries in the past.

Prior the injury, it was reported that West Ham would go in for an improved offer for Arnautovic after their initial bid was rejected and it looks likely that the winger wants to join West Ham after handing in the transfer request hours after the first bid.
Arnautovic was linked with a move to West Ham in the same transfer window where he moved to Stoke and has scored 26 goals since joining the club.
