Pedro Obiang agrees a new deal at West Ham

According to HITC, West Ham star man Pedro Obiang has signed a new deal with the club as an extension to his current contract which runs out in two years time.

Obiang was one of they key men in West Ham’s season last season, showing composure in the midfield to carry West Ham through many rough patches in an abysmal debut season at the London Stadium.

The Spanish midfielder came runner-up in the Hammer of the Year which Michail Antonio, another player who has signed a new contract at West Ham recently, won for his amazing goal-scoring performances in the 2016/17 campaign.

After his great season, Obiang attracted interest from many Premier League and European clubs but if these reports of a new deal is true then that will dismiss the rumours of him leaving.

The 25-year-old joined West Ham two years ago at the beginning of the Farewell Boleyn season, where he couldn’t find a starting place ahead of Mark Noble, Cheikhou Kouyate and Alex Song.

The midfielder is currently recovering from an ankle injury which he suffered in March and he is currently undergoing surgery. He is expected to be back for the start of the new Premier League season.
