West Ham are one of at least two Premier League sides interested in Leeds United stirrer Chris Wood, according to David Anderson of the Mirror.
Twitter: Am told Huddersfield are not in for Leeds’ striker Chris Wood. But Stoke and West Ham are keen on the prolific Kiwi striker. (@MirrorAnderson)
There had been rumours that Huddersfield Town were interested in the New Zealand striker but Anderson reports that they are not, although Stoke City and the Hammers are.
The 25-year-old has had a very journeyman-like career up until this point but last season he scored 30 goals in 48 games for Leeds United and was the catalyst behind them making a push for promotion, albeit one that fell away fairly dramatically.
Under the management of Garry Monk, Wood had the best season of his career but with a new regime in charge next season, there is no guarantee that the team will set up to get the most out of him and a move to the Premier League could well be on the cards.
