West Ham and Crystal Palace are both said to be interested in signing Inter Milan defender Davide Santon, according to Italian source TMW.
Santon is expected to leave the Italian giants this summer after only starting 14 games in the Serie A this season and struggling to make an impact.
Santon has previous Premier League experience playing for Newcastle United and could be set for a return to the league with both West Ham and Crystal Palace monitoring his situation in Italy
Both London clubs are desperate to make an impact in this summer transfer window.
Slaven Bilic’s West Ham side had a disappointing season last term, with the manager’s tenure at the club coming into question.
Likewise, managerless Crystal Palace suffered last season, having only just avoided the drop to the Championship. Despite former England manager Sam Allardyce walking away from them, the club still appears to be active in the transfer market.
Santon is a versatile defender who can play at both right-back and left-back positions.
Watford are another club reportedly interested in bringing the defender – who only has one-year left on his contract at Inter Milan – back to England.
