West Ham’s visit from Stoke City saw three first team players start the fixture at the London Stadium. West Ham started off well with Edmilson Fernandes scoring a nice goal from just inside the 18-yard box.
Stoke City won a penalty against the run of play after Declan Rice brought down Jarvis just inside the area. Trott almost denied Stoke from scoring but Ngoy slotted just into the bottom right-hand corner.
Domingos Quina came off injured after a fair but hard challenge from Stoke.
West Ham started the second half poorly as a great save from Trott stopped a deflected ball crossing the line.
West Ham saw a few chances go their way from Holland and Samuelson, however, could not convert their chances.
Trott was forced into a few saves after a few defensive errors almost cost the Hammers.
West Ham piled on the pressure midway into the second half with Ashley Fletcher coming the closest with his header being deflected just wide of the right-hand post.
Two of West Ham’s first team players got 85 minutes under their belt with Fernandes picking up a goal.
Fletcher showed some promising runs and support but was isolated up top alone.
Fairly even result, West Ham, however, was the more dominant team.
