West Ham United have been rewarded by UEFA for releasing players to the European Qualifiers in 2014/15 and the European Championships in France this summer.
A total of 641 clubs from across the world, ranging from the dazzling heights of the Premier League and La Liga to grassroots level, received an ‘equal share per player per national team released for each qualifying match’ and a fixed amount per player per day for EURO 2016.
In total €150million was paid out to clubs who participate in the programme – a significant increase on the €100million paid out in 2012. Of this, West Ham received €1,142,549.36 (approximately £982,000 when converted into sterling).

Juventus were the highest earners, pocketing €3,484,875.38; closely followed by Liverpool who received €3,394,511.33. In comparison, Turkish second division side Balıkesirspor received the least out of the 641 clubs, just €3,600.46.
Remarkably, Farsley Celtic FC of the Northern Premier League Division One – the eighth tier of English football – received €25,283.97.
