Jonathan Calleri is set to call time on his West Ham nightmare as Besiktas reach an agreement with Deportivo Maldonado over a loan move with a view to permanent.
Fanatik report Calleri will join the Turkish outfit on loan for the remainder of the season, before joining permanently for €4million in the summer window.
Calleri signed for West Ham on loan in the summer but has struggled to adapt to the demands of the Premier League so far, failing to score in any of his eleven appearances for the Hammers.
Slaven Bilic is now keen to offload the Argentine this window in order to free up room for another striker addition – with Brentford’s Scott Hogan as a reported target.
Besiktas boss Senol Gunes is in the market for a striker, after becoming frustrated at the lack of progress in the negotiations with Antalyaspor for ex-Barcelona star Samuel Eto’o, and Calleri reportedly tops his wish-list.
