Four Findings: West Ham 0-2 Manchester United

Unfortunately, last night’s game against Manchester United was ruined in the 15th minute after some appalling refereeing. The Hammers started the game very well keeping United’s chances to a minimum; they were also controlling the midfield with some good passing.

However in the 15th minute, the game was turned on its head, Sofiane Feghouli went into a 50/50 with Phil Jones and although it looked as if Jones went in worse the Manchester United defender proceeded to roll around on the floor. Mike Dean then made a rash decision and decided to send Feghouli off and effectively eradicate any chance West Ham had of success in the game.

After going down to 10 men the Hammers struggled and although Antonio had a great chance he failed to convert it. Manchester United started to take advantage of the extra man as the Hammers tired and went on to win the game 2-0.

Here we look at four things that we learnt.
