According to A Bola (h/t SportWitness), West Ham had scouts at Porto’s recent win against Chaves.
It is unclear who the representatives were looking at however we have some ideas from who the Hammers have shown an interest in before.
Portuguese newspaper, A Bola claim that the Hammers are interested in Belgian striker, Laurent Depoitre. West Ham were reportedly interested in the 28-year-old in the summer however Portuguese side Porto beat the Hammers in the race for his signature.
The Belgian hasn’t had the easiest time at Porto scoring only one goal since joining in the summer, and with Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri on the move, a deal may be on the table for West Ham.
Depoitre wouldn’t be a very interesting player for West Ham fans, however, as desperation mounts, he may be seen as a viable option for the London-based side.
The Hammers are also interested in players such as Daniel Sturridge and Mauro Icardi but unfortunately these seem more like a pipe dream than a possible reality.
