After recent defeats against the likes of Watford and West Brom, Slaven Bilic is coming under increased pressure to try and turn this form around. However, it has been quite the opposite for West Ham’s Premier League 2 side, picking up brilliant wins against Stoke, Newcastle side and most recently, Norwich’s.
Many players have been exceptional in these games and many believe that they should be given a chance against Accrington Stanley in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night. This will be great experience for these players as they’ll be playing competitive football in front of a huge crowd at the London Stadium.
For Slaven Bilic, this would not be a risky move because these players have proved that they can play against mediocre League Two teams like Accrington Stanley. This risk may pay off as he might find replacements for anyone under performing in the current First Team Squad.
