Having loaned youngster Josh Cullen to Bradford initially until January yesterday, West Ham are looking to add one more body to their midfield in order to compete on four fronts next season.
They tried and failed to get a deal done for veteran Besiktas midfielder Atiba Hutchinson who has worked with Slaven Bilic in the past and are now interested in signing Emmanuel Badu from Udinese.

The 25-year-old made the move to Serie A from Ghanaian side Berekum in January 2010 for a reported fee of £425k and has gone on to make 159 appearances for Udinese in the six-and-a-half-years since, scoring on 10 occasions.
Capped 68 times by Ghana, scoring 11 goals, Badu was a consistent performer for Udinese in Serie A last season making 33 appearances and scoring four goals – his best goal return in a single-season in his career.
The Hammers face competition from Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough and Sunderland for the combative midfielder this summer.
