The Daily Mail state that Hull City have set a £15 million price tag on Andrew Robertson’s head to ward off interest from West Ham after rejecting a £7 million bid.
Hull have had a tough summer, as the have struggled to keep up with other Premier League teams to bring in new summer signings after their manager Steve Bruce walked out on the club earlier this month.
The Hammers are keen to sign a new left-back after their first-choice Aaron Cresswell has been ruled out for up to four months with knee ligament damage while having no natural cover. Slaven Bilić and the owners will be keen to sign a new full-back before the summer window closes.
Scotland-born Robertson appears to be Bilić’s top target, it remains to be seen if The Hammers will return with another offer after being knocked back with a £7 million offer. If they choose to, the Daily Mail have claimed that they will have to offer double what they originally offered.
Robertson, 22, joined Hull City from Dundee United back during the 2014 summer window for a fee believed to be £2.85 million and has since become Hull’s first-choice left back picking up a huge 52 appearances in all competitions last season and notching four goals last season.
It is clear that the player has huge potential, Robertson could be the star in the making, however, it could be unlikely that West Ham would be willing to spend £15 million on a player that would be used as cover when Cresswell is back towards the end of 2016.
