It has been widely reported in recent days that West Ham made an offer to bring cult hero Carlos Tevez back to the club, but were quickly rebuffed by the Argentinians request of £250,00-a-week.
While this was frowned upon by many fans, the request could have been tax related, as he is taxed much less in Argentina than he would be in the UK so in order to make as much money, he would need to be on a much higher wage.
The Hammers were willing to offer him £150,000-a-week, which would make Tevez the highest paid player in the clubs history, and chairman David Sullivan was quoted questioning his love for the club in turning such an offer down.

However, the owners have not given up hope yet according to Mundo Deportivo and could go in with another offer for the player. Whether this will be with higher wages or more bonuses is yet unclear, but it is good to see such optimism within the West Ham camp.
It is also unknown if the signing of Carlos Bacca will affect the bid in anyway, but two new strikers are certainly wanted by Bilic and the board and the possibility of them being Carlos Bacca and Carlos Tevez is incredibly exciting.
