Aaron Cresswell has signed a one-year extension with West Ham, keeping him at the Club until June 2021.
Cresswell arrived from Ipswich in the summer of 2014 for a fee in the region of £3.5million. Since arriving in East London, Cresswell has made 89 appearances for West Ham, scoring four and assisting eight in the process.
The 26-year-old says he is looking forward to his future at West Ham and believes the contract extension is great news.
“It’s great news for me,” Cresswell told West Ham TV. “I’ve been here for two years now and I’m looking forward to the next five seasons now that I’ve signed.”
Last season, especially with it being the last season at the Boleyn Ground, was pretty special, with the Manchester United game one which will live with me forever.
“This season, we’re all looking forward to the new Stadium that’s up and running now, the first game with Juventus which is obviously going to be a fantastic day, and the season ahead.”
Much-like Michail Antonio who signed a new contract yesterday, Cresswell will be eagerly awaiting the new England managerial appointment – hoping the next manager selects his squad based on merit. West Ham’s first choice left-back had been outstanding but had been overlooked by Roy Hodgson.
