Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez, who spent the past season on loan at Besiktas in Turkey, has been linked with a summer move to West Ham, following his impressive performances at the Euros.
Gomez is currently away with the German national side at the European Champions, where he has scored twice in three games. La Gazzetta dello Sport say he has impressed the scouts from West Ham, who had watched him several times last season at Besiktas.
According to Turkish source Fanatik , West Ham have already entered discussions with Fiorentina regarding a potential move with Slaven Bilic extremely keen to get this deal over the line.

It is thought Gomez is very interested in a move to West Ham, having thought he would not secure another move to a major championship, as per Fanatik.
Meanwhile, Besiktas are resigned to losing Gomez and are currently working on a deal to bring Sevilla striker Fernando Lorente to Turkey.
