According to the Portuguese newspaper, Record, West Ham have inched closer to completing the signing of Agor Chukwudi.
As many at the club know Slaven Bilic is always looking out for young stars and Agor seems to be his next target. The 17-year-old was one of Nigeria’s main men at the FIFA under 17 world cup and was key in their triumph or the tournament. Many reports have said that West Ham have offered around £155,000 to sign the ASJ Academy youngster.
However previously it has been that simple. Sporting Lisbon were also very interested in signing Agor however it now seems as though they have dropped out and therefore West Ham look likely to complete the signing.
The ASJ Academy CEO Emeka Amajiriaku has said: “West Ham have offered Agor Chuckwudi a straight contract without him having to undergo trials“.
He also said “We are studying the offer and it is very likely we will accept it. We are interested in the players development and not the money that’s being offered.”
Agor would join many young talented players at West Ham and would play alongside the likes of Reece Oxford and Martin Samuelsen.
