Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has publicly denied speculation that West Ham target Andre Ayew will be allowed to leave the Liberty Stadium this summer.
The Swans are looking to rebuild after a disappointing campaign and were reportedly looking to cash-in on Ayew to fund moves for new players.
Sunderland and Liverpool have both been heavily linked with a move for Ayew this summer, but it is West Ham who currently hold the upper hand as the 26-year-old recently confessed he would one day like to play European football again.
Jenkins has played down the speculation, insisting Swansea are looking to build and are focusing on ‘keeping the core of the squad together’.

“I have had no approach from anyone about Andre, and we hope he stays — of course,” Huw told the South Wales Evening Post.
Our overall aim this summer is to keep the core of the squad together.
“We finished last season strongly and we have always felt we had a good group of players at the club. That thought has not changed.
West Ham are growing increasingly frustrated in their negotiations with Besiktas over a potential move for Gokhan Tore and may turn their attentions to alternative targets. While Jenkins has stated his desire to keep Ayew, the Hammers may still test his resolve with a formal bid.
