Besiktas ready to let Tore leave to West Ham

After weeks of speculation surrounding the future of Gokhan Tore, Besiktas may finally be prepared to sell him to West Ham.

The Turkish winger has been on Slaven Bilic’s radar since he joined West Ham last summer and it finally looks as if his persistence is going to pay off. The Hammers have failed with numerous bids,  but Besiktas are coming round.

Besiktas currently boast a strong financial position and are under no threat of failing to meet the Financial Fair Play guidelines, but FFP has changed the Club’s stance on transfers. Rather than refusing to negotiate over exits for players they do not wish to sell, Besiktas now operate with the stance that ‘every player has a price’.

“FFP has actually helped us, we strike better deals, have cut inefficiencies and the club is overall in a more healthy place,” Orman said in his latest press conference, as quoted by Turkish Football.

We have not transfer listed Gokhan Tore. He is a very important player but if he wants to leave we will sell him for the right price.

The Istanbul side want around £15million for the winger and West Ham look to be happy with the asking price. A source close to Turkish Football has also told them that Tore has already agreed a contract with the Hammers and is very keen for the move to go through.

If the transfer is completed Tore will become West Ham’s third addition so far this transfer window, following the arrivals of Sofiane Feghouli and Havard Nordtveit.
