West Ham target Pelle set for Premier League stay

Reported West Ham target, Southampton striker Graziano Pelle, will not be leaving the Premier League this summer, according to his lawyer.

The Italian striker is currently away at Euro 2016 with his country however he didn’t have the best of seasons for Southampton despite scoring 11 league goals. Former manager Ronald Koeman would often chop-and-change the Saints’ team and towards the end of the season Irishman Shane Long became the Dutchman’s first-choice forward.

His Lawyer said to TMW that Pelle has been on the receiving end of many offers to go play in China next season and ruled out a return to Serie A, but reiterated that his client would remain in the Premier League.

Are there any concrete offers from Besiktas and West Ham? It will be almost impossible for him to come back and play in Italy next season, almost all Chinese teams have made an offer. But what is certain is that he will continue to play in the Premier (League)!

The 30-year-old has been linked with West Ham and Everton and although he may not be the marquee signing that West Ham are looking for if the clubs deals for other strikers fall through they may fall on Pelle as their main man.

He may also be required if the club decide to sell Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia after recent interest from Sunderland and West Brom respectively.
