Newcastle United have slapped a staggering £30million price-tag on West Ham target Georginio Wijnaldum, according to the Daily Mail.
The Magpies remain adamant their star players are not for sale and they will not be forced to offload players this summer, despite the club’s relegation to the Championship. Should the Magpies receive any offers for their players, Rafa Benitez has full control.
Wijnaldum has already confirmed he will respect Newcastle’s decision and will not actively seek a move away from St James’ Park.
The Dutch international who netted eleven times last season has attracted attention from a number of clubs across Europe, including AS Roma, Napoli and Everton, as well as the Hammers.

Roma currently lead the chase for the Dutchman and are in need of a replacement for Bosnian midfielder Miralem Panic, who signed for Juventus yesterday. But, unless a bid is tabled in the region of £25-30million, Wijnaldum won’t be leaving St James’ Park this summer.
It is believed West Ham have been deterred from following up their initial interest due to Wijnaldum’s hefty price tag and having higher priority targets available cheaper.
