Diafra Sakho’s agent, Mark McKay, has dismissed claims that his client has asked for a transfer from West Ham after speaking to Sky Sports News this afternoon.
It is rumoured that ex-Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is the man leading the chase for the Senegalese striker. He has told supporters that he is looking for a 20-goal a season striker for less than £25 million for Sunderland, and Diafra Sakho is his primary target according to the Sunderland Echo.
It is reported that Sunderland had a bid rejected a few weeks back but it looks as though they will give West Ham the £15 million they are looking for.
He’s had conversations with people at West Ham, he wants to know where his future lies. He wants to start pre-season where he’s going to be playing. West Ham, we all know are looking for that top, top striker and Diafra is a bit concerned that after they find that top striker, what his place in the team is going to be.
After signing Sofiane Feghouli on a three-year deal West Ham appear set to invest the majority of their time and money into signing a world-class striker. Their main target is still Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, who is reportedly open to a move to West Ham who’re readying a final bid for the player after seeing a club-record £32m offer rejected yesterday.
