West Ham are now in pole position to sign striker Michy Batshuayi from Marseille this summer after it’s revealed that Premier League rivals Tottenham are not willing to break their wage structure to sign the Belgian, claim the Express.
It is understood that Tottenham will stick by what they’ve said and it looks as though they’ve already started looking elsewhere for Harry Kane’s future strike partner. Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly enquired about the availability of AZ Alkmaar forward Vincent Janssen and have been told they will need around £12 million.

You’d think Marseille would be unwilling to offload their star striker and most important player this summer, but club debts and their financial situation means their hands are tied.
According to the Express, West Ham are willing to meet the Ligue 1 side’s asking price for their star striker this summer which is believed to be in excess of £31m.
Marseille have gotten themselves in a bit of a financial pickle. They’ve already accounted for the 22-year-old’s departure in their financial accounts which they will present at the end of the month. If they fail to sell him before this time they’ll face sanctions for breaching DNCG regulations which could see them demoted to Ligue 2.
