West Ham United midfielder Reece Oxford is set to join Charlton Athletic on loan until the end of the season, as reported by Matt Law of The Telegraph .
The 17-year-old midfielder caught the attention of the country when he put in a man of the match performance against Arsenal at the start of the season.
However, whilst many fans and pundits expected him to push into the Hammers first team, he instead has played in more developmental matches and is now set to go out on loan in order to get more first-team football.

Oxford won’t be travelling far though to get back onto the pitch. He’ll be making the move to Charlton where he can help them with their attempts to stay in the Championship.
The Addicks have been trying to strengthen their defence this January to give themselves the best chance of surviving, and Oxford will be able to protect that defence in the holding midfield role.
