According to TMW, Serie A side Fiorentina are planning to make a January move for Italian Angelo Ogbonna.
Fiorentina currently sit top of Serie A on goal difference and are looking to add strength in depth to their defence which has conceded nine goals this season.
Angelo Ogbonna only joined West Ham in the summer for a reported £7.75 million from Juventus. The Italian international started the season very well with impressive performances against Arsenal and Liverpool. However against Newcastle, Ogbonna was injured and since returning has been kept out of the side by James Tomkins, James Collins and Winston Reid. With all three of those players still continuing to impress, it is hard to see where Ogbonna will fit in to the side.
Fiorentina would only be looking to take the 27 year-old on a six month loan deal until the end of the season. There is no doubt about Ogbonna quality and the Italian may feel that he wants more first team games than he is currently getting. He will not find a move back to Italy difficult having played his whole career there for Torino and Juventus.
Should a bid/loan deal come in for Ogbonna in January, would you take it?
