West Ham captain Mark Noble has hailed Argentine midfielder Manuel Lanzini for his brilliant start to the season.
Lanzini has scored four goals and assisted once since joining from United Arab Emirates side Al Jazira, including a sensational curling effort against Everton on Saturday which can be seen in the YouTube video below:

Lanzini had previously played for River Plate and Fluminense where he showed massive potential before he moved to Al Jazira, in a questionable career choice, in 2014.
Noble said to the official West Ham United site:
Manuel is great. He’s learning English and he’s a lovely kid. He’s only 22 and he’s got a manager who believes in him and lets him go out and play.
He continued adding that he’d searched Lanzini, who is nicknamed ‘The Jewel’, before he arrived at Upton Park:
He’s a top player, and I YouTubed him before he came here and saw that he had a lot of quality. He’s showing that in the games.
Mark Noble also commented on the match against Everton in general, expressing that he was pleased with the performance:
It was a completely different performance to last week, which is encouraging. I think we probably should have scored a couple more goals, but in the end probably both teams were quite happy with a point.
The 27 year-old was pleased mainly because the performance was a huge improvement on last week’s performance against Watford, which the Hornets won 2-0 and West Ham were very poor:
Last week wasn’t like us, I don’t know what happened there. Maybe it’s credit to Watford because they played well, I don’t know. It wasn’t us and we showed that on Saturday.
