Former West Ham United midfielder Kevin Nolan is closing in on finding a new club to play his football with. Sky Bet have slashed the odds on the Englishman making the move to Championship side Burnley, where the veteran could link up with former Hammers transfer target Joey Barton, for Sean Dyche’s side.
Newly-promoted Premier League side AFC Bournemouth are also reportedly in talks to sign the 33-year-old, who has previously played for Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers. Nolan had his contract terminated earlier in the summer, in spite of featuring in both the Premier League and the Europa League for the Irons thus far this season.
With the arrivals of Pedro Obiang and Alex Song, Nolan was effectively pushed down the pecking order and forced out of the Boleyn Ground club. His former side Bolton have also been linked with signing the Liverpudlian, in a similar move that saw Stewart Downing return to Middlesbrough, in the second tier.
