Their manager Steve Bruce had already recently revealed that that Tigers were expecting the 30-year-old depart, and speculation can now come to an end, with the striker making the move to the Boleyn Ground on a permanent basis.
With the end of the summer transfer window imminent, it was of vital importance that manager Slaven Bilic brought in another goal-scorer, in spite of the several summer signings that had already been made in the previous few months.
Jelavic has a plethora of Premier League experience, having played in the English top tier for Everton before making the move over to the KC. He has scored at least five goals in each of his last four campaigns in the division, which is encouraging for Hammers fans as they currently struggle with injuries to Enner Valencia and Andy Carroll.
