Premier League side West Ham United are trying to complete a late deal for Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon, according to Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail. In spite of 21 caps for the England national team, Lennon has fallen out of favour.
The Englishman is not in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for the new season, and is seeking a move away from White Hart Lane. Victor Moses, who is also a West Ham target, is being touted as a possible replacement by the North London club.
Fellow top tier side Everton are also said to be interested in signing Lennon, and a possible move to Goodison Park could perhaps be more likely, as the 28-year-old spent five months on loan at the Merseyside club earlier this calendar year.
Lennon has been at Spurs since 2005, and has scored in the top flight in every single Premier League season for ten consecutive campaigns. This includes the two occasions he found the back of the net for the Toffees during 2014/15.
