West Ham defender Sam Westley is set to join Eerste Divisie side VVV-Venlo on loan this summer.
The young right-back joined West Ham last summer from Stoke to join the Development Squad, along with his father Terry, the Head of Youth Development at the club.
The news broke this evening that the Hammers and Venlo were poised to enter a club partnership, which would involve West Ham sending players on loan to Holland, much like Chelsea do with Vitesse Arnhem.
As part of that deal, confirmed by Terry Westley himself, Sam will be the first West Ham player to make the move on loan to Venlo.

Although not great evidence, Sam tonight followed Roger Bogaerts, the Head of Youth Development at Venlo, and the man behind the potential deal on their side of things.
Some might say there’s a link to be made there.
Dutch source 1limburg state that the Hammers are hoping to get this agreement done soon, so they can send the 21-year-old defender on loan for some first-team football.
